Job Summary
The L3 SolarWinds Lead serves as the senior technical authority for the SolarWinds monitoring platform, acting as the final escalation point for complex monitoring, performance, and availability issues while owning the architecture, optimization, and governance of enterprise observability solutions. The role ensures monitoring capabilities align with business SLAs, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Own L3-level escalations related to SolarWinds platform incidents, chronic alerts, and performance issues
• Architect, deploy, and optimize SolarWinds modules (NPM, SAM, VMAN, NTA, SRM, WPM) across enterprise and hybrid environments
• Lead alert rationalization, threshold tuning, and noise reduction initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Design and maintain custom dashboards, reports, and KPIs for operations, service delivery, and leadership reviews
• Manage platform upgrades, patching, backups, and security hardening with minimal service disruption
• Integrate SolarWinds with ITSM/Event Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITOM)

• Define and enforce monitoring standards, SOPs, runbooks, and SLAs, including steady-state measurement mechanisms
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide recommendations for long-term stability and capacity planning
• Mentor L1/L2 teams, provide technical guidance, and conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions
• Support audits, compliance, and client governance requirements where applicable (e.g., SOC, ISO, ITAR)

Skill Requirements
• Robust hands-on expertise with SolarWinds platform and modules (NPM, SAM, VMAN, NTA, SRM)
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across network, server, virtualization, and application monitoring
• Experience with alert tuning, custom polling, dashboards, and report development
• Integration experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM/Event Management platforms
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, SQL, or equivalent) for automation and data analysis
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale, regulated, or SLA-driven environments
• Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and leadership skills
