Job Summary
The candidate should have a background in mechanical design engineering, preferably with experience in the semiconductor and biomedical industries. Robust proficiency in SolidWorks CAD and SolidWorks PDM, including part modeling, detailing, large assemblies, configuration management, and design tables. Exposure to static and dynamic simulations in SolidWorks is a plus. Hands‑on experience in conceptual and detailed design of mechanical subsystems. Solid understanding of sheet metal, machined components, weldments, as well as injection molding and RIM processes. Good working knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance stack‑up analysis. Experience with engineering change processes, including ECOs and their various lifecycle phases. Familiarity with PLM systems such as Arena is an added advantage. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and feasibility analysis,



including sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, surface finishing, coatings, and additive manufacturing (3D printing). Experience in designing and handling optics‑related components, including optical mounts, fixtures, and cleanliness considerations, is an added advantage. Knowledge of harness and tube routing using SolidWorks is an added advantage. Proven experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including work instructions, assembly instructions, test procedures, and process documentation. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and overall design excellence practices is desirable. Self‑disciplined, team‑oriented, capable of working independently, and results‑driven. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. To collaborate with key stakeholders, to understand business objectives and work with them to integrate design thinking into software/product development.
2. To lead a team of designers, provide guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions in alignment with the overall business goals.
3. To present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders and gather feedback.
4. To establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
5. To stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies to drive innovation and excellence in design.
