Purpose of the Role

We Founder Circle operates global and India-domiciled Alternative Investment Funds. This role owns the day-to-day fund operations and regulatory compliance across all fund vehicles — ensuring investor servicing runs smoothly, books are accurate, and every investment activity stays within SEBI AIF rules and the fund's PPM. You will be the single point of accountability where operations and compliance meet.

What You Will Do

▸ Fund Operations

- Own the investor lifecycle — onboarding, KYC, distributions, and exit processing
- Maintain the investor register and ensure statements of account are accurate and timely
- Coordinate NAV computation with Auditor and fund accounting with the appointed fund accountant and RTA
- Manage bank reconciliations, and AUM reporting
- Liaise with custodians, bankers, auditors, and other third-party service providers

▸ Compliance & Regulatory

- Screen every proposed investment against the PPM mandate, SEBI AIF concentration/diversification norms, and internal policies before deal execution
- Track portfolio-level limits — sector exposure, leverage, related-party transactions — and flag breaches to the Investment Committee
- Review deal documents (term sheets, SHA/SSA, side letters) through a compliance lens




- Prepare and file periodic regulatory returns with SEBI / IFSCA; support trustee and statutory audits
- Track FEMA/ODI requirements for any cross-border investments
- Stay current on regulatory changes and brief the team on implications

▸ Investor Relations & Reporting

- Prepare quarterly investor reports, capital-account statements, and compliance certificates
- Handle investor queries on fund performance, drawdown schedules, and tax-related documentation
- Support the fund-raise process with operational and compliance inputs for new PPMs and subscription documents

Who You Are

▸ Must-Have

- CA or CFA qualified
- 3–7 years in fund operations, compliance, or risk within an AIF, PMS, PE/VC fund, or asset-management firm
- Working knowledge of SEBI (AIF) Regulations, 2012 and FEMA/ODI basics
- Hands-on with Excel, fund-admin platforms, and document management

▸ Good-to-Have

- NISM Series XIX-C (AIF) certification (or willingness to explicit within 3 months)
- Prior interaction with SEBI, IFSCA, trustees, or custodians
- Familiarity with global fund structures (GIFT City IFSCA-regulated funds a plus)
