Remote Controls Engineer (Warehouse Automation)

Experience: 3–8 Years

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation systems for warehouse and material handling projects. The engineer will remotely support commissioning, software modifications, diagnostics, and customer deployments while collaborating with field engineers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify PLC programs for material handling equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA applications.
- Support conveyor systems, sortation equipment, print & apply systems, and robotic automation.
- Perform remote commissioning and startup support.
- Diagnose PLC, VFD, sensor, barcode scanner, and network issues.
- Integrate PLCs with WMS/WCS, MES, and ERP systems.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Provide remote technical support to customers during production.




- Prepare electrical documentation and software backups.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams.

- PLC Programming: Rockwell Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000/RSLogix), Siemens TIA Portal
- HMI: FactoryTalk View, WinCC
- Industrial Networks: EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP
- VFDs, Servo Systems, Safety PLCs
- Industrial I/O, Sensors, Barcode Scanners
- Material Handling Automation
- Conveyor Controls
- WCS/WMS Integration
- AutoCAD Electrical (preferred)
- Git or version control (preferred)
