Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned leader to head our Electrical, Power Systems & Automation function. This role offers the prospect to lead critical plant operations, implement advanced automation solutions, optimize energy utilization, and contribute to the continuous improvement of one of the leading paper manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Power Systems

- Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of the complete HT/LT electrical network.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC panels, motors, DG sets, UPS, APFC panels, capacitor banks, harmonic filters, ATS/AMF systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Drive electrical safety, statutory compliance, and best maintenance practices across the plant.

Automation & Process Control

- Lead and optimize Siemens Automation platforms including PCS7 DCS, S7-(phone hidden) PLCs, TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager, WinCC, SCADA, HMI, S120/G120 drives, servo systems, motion control, and industrial communication networks (PROFINET/PROFIBUS/Industrial Ethernet).
- Oversee PLC programming, drive commissioning, troubleshooting, system integration, and automation upgrades to improve process efficiency and equipment reliability.

Projects, Reliability & Continuous Improvement

- Lead shutdown planning, plant commissioning, modernization projects, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA)



for critical failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement programs focused on increasing productivity, reducing downtime, and enhancing equipment performance.

Energy Management & Leadership

- Champion energy optimization, power quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage vendors, contractors, technical documentation, budgets, and engineering resources.
- Mentor and develop engineering teams while collaborating closely with Production, Mechanical Maintenance, OEMs, and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Education

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant certifications in Siemens Automation, Industrial Automation, or Power Systems will have an added advantage.

Experience

- 12–15+ years of experience in the Paper Manufacturing Industry.
- Strong expertise in Electrical Maintenance, Power Systems, Industrial Automation, and Project Execution.
- Hands-on experience with HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, DG synchronization, protection systems, energy management, power quality improvement, and Siemens automation platforms.
- Proven experience in plant commissioning, shutdown management, reliability engineering, root cause analysis, modernization projects, and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
