Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SMT Engineer role based in Noida. The SMT Engineer will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining SMT production lines, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and related inspection equipment. Daily tasks include monitoring line performance, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, optimizing PCB assembly quality, and ensuring adherence to safety and manufacturing standards. The role also involves coordinating with production, quality, and maintenance teams to reduce defects, improve throughput, and support new product introductions. The SMT Engineer will prepare and maintain process documentation, support root-cause analysis for failures,



and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, PCB assembly, and operation of SMT equipment such as pick-and-place machines and reflow ovens.
- Experience with process optimization, line balancing, and implementation of manufacturing best practices in an electronics production environment.
- Ability to perform equipment troubleshooting, basic preventive maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Familiarity with quality control methods, defect analysis, and use of inspection tools (AOI, visual inspection, measurement instruments).
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering documentation related to electronics manufacturing.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail and a focus on safety and compliance.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for working with production operators, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field; prior SMT or electronics manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
