We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer - Powertrain Assembly to join our manufacturing engineering team. This position is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about automotive manufacturing, process improvement, and production excellence. The successful candidate will support the development, optimisation, validation, and continuous improvement of powertrain assembly processes while ensuring quality, safety, productivity, and cost objectives are achieved. This role offers strong learning opportunities and exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies within the automotive industry. **Key Responsibilities** + Support the development and optimisation of powertrain assembly processes for engines, transmissions, drivetrains, EV batteries, and electric motors. + Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce cycle time, minimise scrap, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). + Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for production, quality, and warranty-related issues. + Collaborate with design, production, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing teams to resolve manufacturing challenges. + Support current product introduction activities and manufacturing readiness planning. + Create, review, and update: + Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) + Work Instructions + Process Flow Diagrams + Control Plans + Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives. + Collect and analyse production and quality data using Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools. + Assist in evaluating assembly equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production systems. + Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews. + Support testing and validation activities of powertrain assemblies and document findings. + Maintain accurate engineering documentation related to process changes and improvement activities. + Ensure compliance with safety, quality,



and manufacturing standards. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in: + Mechanical Engineering + Manufacturing Engineering + Automotive Engineering + Production Engineering + Industrial Engineering + Electrical & Electronics Engineering + Mechatronics Engineering + or a related discipline. + 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, industrial engineering, or related areas. **Required Technical Skills** **Manufacturing Knowledge** + Understanding of powertrain systems, internal combustion engines, transmissions, EV batteries, and electric motors. + Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes. + Understanding of quality tools such as: + Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) + Statistical Process Control (SPC) + Root Cause Analysis + Continuous Improvement methodologies **Electrical and Testing Fundamentals** + Basic circuit theory including AC/DC circuits, Ohm's Law, and series/parallel circuits. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. + Understanding of: + Sensors + Relays + Contactors + Motors + PLC input/output fundamentals + Familiarity with measuring instruments such as: + Multimeters + Oscilloscopes + Meggers **Data Analysis** + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. + Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods is preferred. **Core Competencies** + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. + Strong learning agility and initiative. + Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Attention to detail and commitment to quality. **Preferred Qualifications** + Practical experience gained through internships, projects, or manufacturing assignments. + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. + Experience with process simulation tools. + Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;). + Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
