We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Engineer with 5 7 years of experience managing and optimizing relational and non-relational database systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cloud, including solid proficiency in MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Familiarity with Cassandra or other NoSQL technologies is a strong plus. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and data teams to ensure database reliability, performance, security, and scalability in both cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable database solutions across Cloud SQL on GCP.
- Administer and optimize MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
- Ensure database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with software engineers and data analysts to design data models and support development activities.
- Implement database security best practices and manage access controls.
- Participate in data migration, transformation, and synchronization activities.
- Create and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes,



and procedures.
- Leverage automation tools for database deployment and maintenance tasks.

Skills:

- 5 7 years of experience as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar role.
- Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud SQL.
- Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Experience with query optimization, performance tuning, and database profiling tools.
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Good understanding of data integrity, normalization, and relational modeling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and automation practices related to database deployment.

Good to have:

- Experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases.
- GCP certification (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Cloud Database Engineer) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Exposure to monitoring tools.
