The Site Installation Manager (Mechanical/Electrical) role at Xylem in Mumbai involves end-to-end oversight of project execution, from mobilization to commissioning.

Core Responsibilities –

This position demands complete ownership of equipment installation, erection, and commissioning to ensure timelines, costs, quality, and customer satisfaction are met. Key tasks include coordinating with customers, consultants, and end-users, identifying and verifying equipment/accessories against approved designs, arranging lifting machinery, and supervising shifts from storage to site. Daily meetings and proactive communication with internal & external teams (consultants, Customers, vendors and end user) and stakeholders address evolving project needs.

Key Activities –

- Track all project phases, including mobilization, material checks from stores, installation supervision, protocol sign-offs, and trial runs for mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Manage on-site logistics like equipment shifting and erection while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Handle regular coordination to resolve day-to-day requirements, ensuring smooth delivery.

Required Skills –

Incumbents need strong technical expertise in mechanical or electrical systems, leadership for team/subcontractor supervision, and problem-solving for real-time challenges. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills are essential in a fast-paced project environment like Xylem's water technology projects.

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate the ability to succeed in Sewage Treatment Plant environment, while ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained.

emphasizing contractual oversight, stakeholder coordination, and full project lifecycle management for water equipment installations.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

- BE-Mechanical / Electrical from recognized university with 12 - 15 yrs of experience specially in Sewage Treatment Plant Execution and Project Management or similar type of projects.
- Knowledge of Sewage Treatment Plant Construction industry will be additional benefit
- Should be valuable at written and verbal communication.
- Experience of executing projects from the front and on ground
- Knowledge of electromechanical and fair AutoCAD knowledge is mandatory
- Assesses project from standpoint of risk assessment from time to time and takes proactive actions to ensure project deliverables in terms of cost, time and quality
- Takes proactive measures to ensure smooth execution at the site
- Manager Project Development from initiation to closure
- Clearly communicate expectations to the team and stakeholders.
- Act as mediators between stakeholders and team
- Resolve and issues and solving problems during project lifecycle.
- Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
