Position:-Trade Finance Operations (Maker)

Job Location: - Chennai- Perungudi World Trade Center

Shift:- 9hrs shifts starting from 6.30am

Notice period:- immediate Joiners

Role Purpose

To accurately process trade finance transactions by reviewing customer requests, inputting transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and international trade rules, while maintaining defined service levels.

Key Responsibilities

1.



Process Trade Finance transactions including:
2. Import Letter of Credit (LCs) -Issuance, Amendment, Bill Booking, Acceptance, Settlement
3. Export Letters of Credit – Advising, Confirmations, Transfers, Bill booking, Acceptance, Settlement
4. Documentary Collections - Bill Booking, Acceptance, Settlement
5. Bank Guarantee / Standby LCs – Issuance, Amendments, reversal, closure, Invocations
6. Trade Loans – Invoice discounting, Supplier Finance, Rollover, Settlement

Mandate skills with below activities included:-

Key Skills: Trade Finance operations, Swift Messaging, UCP 600, ISBP, Documentary credits, MS Excel, Banking systems, Excellent time Management Skills, Strong numerical and analytical skills

System processing

- Input the transaction details into trade processing systems
- Generate Swift Messages (MT700, MT707, MT103, MT202, MT400, MT760)
- Ensure accurate accounting entries, Maintain complete records & MIS

Customer Service

- Coordinate with overseas branches
- Responding to operational Queries
- Support timely transaction execution

Risk Management

- Minimize operational risk, Escalate suspicious transactions
- Follow maker – checker controls

Compliance

- Perform sanction screening, AML as applicable

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Commerce & Finance

Professional Qualification: CITF, JAIIB.

Relevant exp - Between 5-6 years in Trade Finance operations
