Key Responsibilities:Production Planning & Control:

- Oversee daily production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Develop and implement efficient production schedules.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
- Monitor KPIs such as OEE, productivity, downtime, and yield.

Team Leadership & People Management:

- Lead and motivate the production team to achieve departmental goals.
- Identify training needs and provide skill development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Quality & Compliance:

- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance/Quality Control team to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for production issues.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP (for pharma), and ISO standards.

Process Improvement:

- Identify and implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives.
- Recommend improvements in workflow, equipment, and resource allocation.





Inventory & Cost Control:

- Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to manage raw materials and reduce waste.
- Monitor and control production costs to stay within budget.

Reporting & Documentation:

- Maintain accurate production records and generate daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Present operational updates and improvement plans to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related field.
- (Master's degree or MBA in Operations/Management is a plus.)
- 8–15 years of progressive experience in production management, preferably in [industry].
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and production planning tools (ERP/SAP).
