Database Performance Optimization:

- Analyze, optimize, and enhance Database Server workloads to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Address complex performance issues and implement solutions to improve database responsiveness.
- Utilize advanced techniques to optimize SQL queries, including index tuning, query plan analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
- Optimize SQL queries and database and storage configurations to improve performance and resource utilization.
- Maintain a deep understanding of SQL Server 2022 and Oracle 19c features and apply them effectively.

Database Internals:

- Leverage in-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle internals to understand and resolve performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. o Identify performance baseline and report/alert on deviation
- Participate in investigation, identification, and resolution of key performance bottlenecks related to databases for enterprise applications of various architectures, including multi-tier web o Document level 1 and 2 performance analysis steps o Ensure the performance, integrity, and security of databases.
- Work with developers on database development, design principles, query optimization, and index management
- Develop and implement database automation strategies using PowerShell, Terraform, and Linux scripting.
- Generate report on environment performance for upper management presentation.
- Support Global database workplace.
- Hyper monitoring for proactive/reactive monitoring during global Month-end workload.
- Use development and analytical skills to reduce resource consumption of applications and minimize request latency to improve customer experience.

Collaborative Development :





- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and system administrators, to address performance issues and implement improvements. o Consult with internal clients to determine requirements for reporting; meeting to discuss data, report format, distribution of reports

Preferred candidate profile

- 5-7 years of extensive knowledge on Database technologies (SQL Server and Oracle)
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL Server (especially SQL Server 2019 & 2022) and Oracle (Oracle 19c)
- In-depth understanding of database internals, with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues
- Extensive experience with automation using PowerShell, Terraform, and Linux shell scripting.
- Thorough understanding on how database optimizer and finetune stored procedures and queries
- Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Strong understanding of the latest features in SQL Server 2022 and Oracle 19c.
- Proficiency in query optimization, indexing knowledge, materialized views, triggers, stored procedure development, and partitioning.
- Thorough understanding on how database engine work with server, storage and network component
- Thorough hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and security management
- Strong understanding of backup and recovery, database security, encryption, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills,



with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders and upper management.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system performance
- Work US time during first 3 months until 11am (Mon-Thur) On-boarding
- Participate in weekly group call and team meetings
- Experience with Foglight database monitoring
- Knowledge in MySQL and PostgreSQL is a plus

What You'll Be Doing:

- Database Workload Optimization: Optimize database workloads across hundreds of services and databases to ensure high performance and efficiency. Identify and address performance issues in a large-scale environment.
- Services Optimization: Design and implement changes to existing services or develop new microservices aimed at optimizing database workloads. Ensure that these modifications contribute to improved performance, scalability, and reliability of the overall system.
- Data Management Solutions: Design and develop data management solutions that will be applied across hundreds of services. Focus on improving performance, reducing costs, and increasing agility.
- Framework Development: Develop frameworks and tools to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize SQL Server and Oracle queries. Collaborate with multiple teams to implement and standardize best practices for performance enhancement.
- Evaluate the database environment, report on infrastructure consumption, and provide suggestion for improving the environment and reducing costs.
- Work on SQL Server and Oracle database administration including installation, patching, security management and backup/restore
