Key Responsibilities:

Purpose is to establish top notch safety culture and world class industrial safety Occupational Health practices mainly by

1. Introducing and driving effective implementation of world class safety health standards, robust safety systems, guidelines, and procedures.
2. Developing organization consisting of line function officials to implement above said safety standards, policies, guidelines, and systems
3. Developing capability of both line function officials and safety professionals for understanding and adopting above said standards, policies, guidelines, and systems
4. Devising monitoring and tracking mechanism in entire organization by virtue of which any deviation for intention will be noticed at its very early stages
5.



Directing the resources and activities of the organization to support the Safety programs and initiatives by providing advice and guidance to plant/facility management and senior management.
6. Providing overall leadership, skilled knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of Safety processes for all aspects of Hindalco activities. It includes legal compliances, organizational policies and employee Safety knowledge and awareness.
7. Ensuring that every facility is ready for any kind of eventuality or emergency.
