Summary
The Territory Manager - Sales plays a pivotal
role in driving revenue growth and market expansion within the financial
services sector. Reporting to the Regional Sales Head, this position is
responsible for leading and managing a defined sales territory, overseeing
field sales teams, and executing strategic initiatives to achieve quarterly and
annual sales targets. The ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in
banking operations, loan products (including BL, LAP), and financial
documentation to guide clients through end -to -end transaction processes while
ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional customer experience. This role
demands a proactive, results -driven professional with a strong command of
financial product knowledge, customer relationship management, and field
execution. The Territory Manager is instrumental in building long -term client
partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining a
high -performance sales culture across the territory.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of field
sales executives to achieve individual and team sales targets within the
assigned territory.
- Develop and execute
territory -specific sales strategies aligned with organizational goals and
market dynamics.
- Conduct regular field visits to
client locations, financial institutions, and partner networks to drive
product penetration and client acquisition.
- Manage end -to -end sales cycles for
banking products including Business Loans (BL), and
Loan Against Property (LAP), ensuring accurate documentation and
compliance.
- Collaborate with credit,
operations, and finance teams to ensure timely loan processing,
documentation verification, and disbursement.
- Identify and pursue recent business
opportunities through market research, client referrals, and strategic
partnerships.
- Maintain detailed records of
client interactions, sales pipelines, and performance metrics using CRM
tools.
- Deliver regular performance
reports and insights to senior management on sales trends, market
feedback, and competitive analysis.
- Conduct training sessions and
onboarding for new field sales personnel to ensure consistency in product
knowledge and sales execution.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory
guidelines, internal policies, and KYC/AML compliance during all customer
interactions and documentation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance,
Commerce, Business Administration,
or a related field; MBA in Marketing or
Sales is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive
experience in field sales within the financial services or banking
industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding
sales targets in loan product sales (BL, LAP) with strong knowledge of
credit assessment and documentation.
- In -depth understanding of banking
operations, financial product structuring, and compliance protocols.
- Exceptional customer handling and
relationship management skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Strong organizational and time
management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a
fast -paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS
Office Suite, and digital documentation platforms.
- Valid driving license and
willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
- Ability to work independently,
make data -driven decisions, and lead by example in a high -performance
culture.
