- Equipment Management: Prime, set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot dialysis machines and water systems before, during, and after treatments.
- Patient Care & Monitoring: Assess patient status pre - and post -dialysis, record medical histories, and monitor vital signs throughout the treatment to address complications.
- Vascular Access: Clean and prepare access sites (AV fistulas, grafts, or catheters), initiate treatment, and insert needles following aseptic techniques.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict OSHA and facility -specific blood -borne pathogen protocols, ensuring the sanitization of machines and treatment areas.
- Medication Administration: Safely calculate and administer anticoagulants (e.g., heparin) as prescribed by the nephrologist.
- Mentorship & Compliance: Support junior technicians, audit dialysis charts for documentation accuracy, and report directly to the Head Nurse or Nephrologist.
Requirements
- Minimum of 0 -3 years of hands -on experience as a Dialysis Technician in a hospital or dedicated dialysis center.
- Education: B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology or a recognized Diploma in Dialysis Technology.
- Clinical Knowledge: Solid understanding of renal anatomy, fluid management, and emergency response during dialysis complications
