Interior Trim Design Engineer CATIA V5/V6

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interior Trim Design Engineer with hands-on experience in CATIA V5/V6 to design and develop automotive interior components such as door trims, instrument panels, center consoles, and pillar trims. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design and development, from concept to production release, ensuring quality, cost, and timing targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive interior trim components (Door panels, Dashboard, Console, Pillar trims, etc.)
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5/V6
- Perform packaging studies and ensure proper fitment within vehicle architecture
- Work on Class A, B & C surface development and plastic part design




- Conduct design feasibility and DFMEA analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Styling, BIW, Electrical, Manufacturing)
- Participate in design reviews and implement feedback
- Ensure compliance with OEM standards and GD&T; requirements
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities
- Manage BOM / MBOM creation and updates
- Work closely with suppliers for tooling and manufacturing feasibility

Required Skills

- Robust experience in CATIA V5/V6 (Part, Assembly, Drafting, GSD)
- Knowledge of automotive interior trim design & plastic components
