Role & responsibilities:
What Youll Do:
Network Architecture & Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, internet, and cloud networking solutions.
- Lead network modernization initiatives that improve reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain network standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to support business objectives.
- Partner with cloud and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless connectivity between data centers, offices, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
Operations & Reliability
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network incidents and escalations.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network performance, availability, and security events.
- Monitor network capacity, utilization, and performance trends to proactively address service risks.
- Participate in a scheduled 24x7 on-call rotation and major incident response activities.
- Ensure network services meet established availability and performance objectives.
Network Security & Compliance
- Implement and support network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, NAC, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access solutions.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation and security improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory controls.
- Support security assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
- Design and maintain resilient network architectures that support business continuity and disaster recovery objectives.
- Participate in Business Impact Analysis (BIA), disaster recovery planning, and recovery testing activities.
- Maintain network recovery procedures, diagrams, and failover documentation.
- Support annual disaster recovery exercises and remediation efforts.
- Ensure critical network services meet Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
Automation & Process Improvement
- Develop automation solutions for network provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and reporting.
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting tools to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives focused on reliability, automation, and service quality.
Project Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead network-related projects including office expansions, relocations, M&A; integration activities, cloud migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, service desk, monitoring, cloud, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Contribute to strategic technology planning and roadmap development.
Preferred candidate profile :
Who You Are:
Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Experience supporting global, multi-site network environments.
• Robust experience designing and managing large-scale network infrastructure.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking and connectivity architectures.
• Experience with business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience planning.
• Proven experience leading infrastructure projects and complex technical implementations.
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and routing technologies
- Enterprise switching and wireless networking
- SD-WAN and cloud networking architectures
- Network segmentation and Zero Trust networking principles
- Firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network security solutions
- Azure and AWS networking services
- Network monitoring and observability platforms
- High-availability and disaster recovery network design
