Job Summary

The Quality Automation Engineer II leads Quality Assurance activities for complex projects, developing and implementing effective manual and automated testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role provides technical guidance, drives continuous quality improvements, and promotes modern Quality Engineering practices across teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Reviewing and analyzing enhancements to z/OS system products.
- Developing effective testing strategies and test plans for z/OS system products.
- Creating test automation in a z/OS environment.
- Identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs.
- Performing thorough regression testing of bug resolutions.
- Tracking quality assurance metrics.
- Building and maintaining test environments.
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality.
- Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience.
- Strong experience in a z/OS environment, including JCL, JES, ISPF,



SDSF, etc.
- Working experience with Python
- Working experience with Playwright and Robot Framework
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related disciplines.
- Ability to create test strategy, test cases and test execution plans.
- Strong test automation experience (including API automation).
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Assertive, self-motivated, and able to drive tasks independently.

Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience writing and maintaining REXX scripts.
- Experience working under an Agile development model.
- Experience with Hiperstation and/or TPNS.
- Experience as a user of monitoring tools in a z/OS workplace (BMCs AMI Ops line, and/or competing lines OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, TMON).
- Experience with z/OSMF-based tools.
- Experience with Cursor or other coding-oriented AI tools
