Role & responsibilities

The Image Editor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality images for Home Centre, both online and offline. Collaborating closely with photographers, external image editing agencies, and team members, the Image Editor will be responsible for enhancing and editing images according to established guidelines and standards. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in image editing software, and effective collaboration within a dynamic studio environment.

Preferred candidate profile

Image Editing and Enhancement:

Edit and retouch images ( For Ecom and Marketing) to align with established guidelines and maintain quality standards. Enhance images by adjusting colors, contrast, and lighting to achieve desired aesthetics.

Work on templates for categories wherever required. Crop and resize images as necessary to meet specific requirements.

Create A plus content overlays as well as resizing the images for A plus content. With the growing number of stop motion shoots happening inhouse, the editor is responsible for editing the static frames post-shoot and sharing them with the video team, Video editing as and when required. QC of the images received from agencies and sending for upload.

Quality Control:

- Conduct thorough quality checks on edited images, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure timely delivery of final images, meeting daily output targets while adhering to guidelines and standards.

Collaboration and Communication:





- Collaborate closely with photographers to ensure alignment on editing preferences and desired outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggestions to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the editing process.
- Work in close collaboration with photographers to work on setting of guidelines for new categories as and when required.

Workflow Management:

- Organize and prioritize editing tasks to meet project deadlines and turnaround times effectively.
- Maintain a systematic approach to file management, optimizing workflow efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow optimization.

Software Proficiency:

- Proficient in industry-standard image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, AI or equivalent tools.
- Stay updated on new features and techniques in image editing software to continually enhance editing capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as an Image Editor or similar role, supported by a robust portfolio showcasing editing skills.
- Proficiency in image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, AI or equivalent tools.
- Video editing skills would be a plus. Knowledge of photography principles and techniques is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for composition, color, and lighting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Creative mindset with a passion for visual storytelling and aesthetic excellence.
