Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

A significant portion of our client work involves AI-powered products. You'll be the person who takes an ambiguous problem, defines what needs to be built, and ships it. We don't manage people into solutions — we hire people who find them.

You'll work across the full stack: Laravel backends, AWS infrastructure, MySQL databases, and LLM integrations that actually hold up in production. Some engagements are greenfield; others are complex, inherited systems. Both require the same thing: an engineer who takes ownership.

This is a remote-work role for employees located in Indore, India.

What You'll Work On

- Integrate LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or equivalent) into production applications
- Design and iterate system prompts for reliability, quality, and cost efficiency
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs in PHP/Laravel
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, ALB)
- Own database design, query optimization, and performance tuning in MySQL 8
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Collaborate directly with clients and internal teams to define requirements and deliver solutions

You Should Have

- AI / ML Engineering (strongly preferred)
- Hands-on production experience with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar)
- Prompt engineering for production: designing,



testing, and iterating system prompts
- Familiarity with AI evaluation: output quality, hallucination detection, latency, and cost optimization
- Awareness of responsible AI practices: rate limiting, content filtering, fallback handling, and cost governance

Backend

- PHP 8.x and Laravel 10/11/12 or MEAN/MERN stack
- RESTful API development and MVC architecture
- Authentication: JWT, OAuth2, Laravel Sanctum / Passport
- Composer and contemporary PHP tooling

Database

- MySQL 8: schema design, normalization, stored procedures
- Query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning

AWS

- EC2, RDS (MySQL), S3, Lambda, Elastic Load Balancer (ALB)

DevOps & Infrastructure

- GitHub / Bitbucket / GitLab
- CI/CD pipelines
- Shell scripting, Linux (Ubuntu)

Frontend

- HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, jQuery

What We're Looking For

Beyond the technical skills, the thing that matters most is how you work:

- Ownership mindset — you define problems, propose solutions, and see them through without being managed
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to translate vague requirements into concrete plans
- Strong written communication — clients and teammates need to understand what you're building and why
- Experience working in a consulting or agency environment is a plus
