Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer - Ecommerce Search to design, develop, and optimize scalable search solutions for ecommerce platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in search technologies, distributed systems, relevance tuning, and building high-performance search experiences that enhance customer engagement and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale ecommerce search platforms.
- Implement and optimize search functionalities using technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene, OpenSearch, or similar search engines.
- Enhance search relevance through ranking algorithms, relevance tuning, query optimization, and personalization.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable search solutions.
- Develop APIs and backend services supporting search, indexing, recommendations, and merchandising features.




- Analyze search metrics and user behavior to improve search performance and customer experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in search infrastructure.
- Follow best practices for coding, testing, CI/CD, and system reliability.

Required Skills

- 6-10 years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Elasticsearch/OpenSearch/Solr/Lucene.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or related backend technologies.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms.
- Robust understanding of indexing, search algorithms, ranking, and relevance tuning.
- Experience working with REST APIs and modern software development practices.
- Knowledge of databases such as SQL and NoSQL.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
