Job Description: Production Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing unit. This role requires someone who can efficiently manage production planning, supervise the workforce, ensure quality standards, and drive operational excellence across the factory floor.

The ideal candidate should be a solid leader with the ability to coordinate teams, solve production challenges, maintain discipline, and ensure timely output while optimizing resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the end-to-end production process to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Supervise and manage factory staff and labour, ensuring productivity and discipline on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor machine utilization, production efficiency, and resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and manufacturing processes.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Maintain production records, reports, and daily output tracking.
- Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Enforce workplace safety, hygiene, and compliance with factory regulations.
- Minimize wastage, reduce downtime,



and optimize production costs.
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues quickly to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

- Minimum 35 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing will be preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing factory labour and production teams.
- Good understanding of production planning, inventory flow, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP knowledge will be an added advantage.

- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable spending time on the factory floor.
- Robust ownership mindset with the ability to lead by example.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
