Position Overview

KPSE, the dedicated energy storage and battery manufacturing subsidiary of KP Group, is seeking a highly accomplished, hands-on, and strategic Head Finance to architect, establish, and govern our complete financial infrastructure from the ground up. As we execute our multi-phased gigawatt-scale roadmap—anchored by the construction of a 5 GWh LFP Battery Cell and BESS assembly complex in Vadodara, Gujarat—the Head – Finance will serve as a core financial partner to the CEO and the senior leadership team.

The position demands a finance leader with a demonstrated corporate track record in multi-million-dollar operations combined with the lean agility of a startup builder. The candidate must be fully prepared to establish all fiscal accounting frameworks, payroll networks, accounting systems, and procurement controls from scratch, with the ultimate objective of supporting institutional banking, regulatory compliance, and the company's long-term growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Authority

1. Enterprise Financial Architecture & Infrastructure Build (From Scratch)

- Corporate Mechanism Implementation: Design, implement, and deploy all financial regulations, internal audit controls, continuous bookkeeping workflows, and corporate treasury policies from day one.
- ERP System Oversight: Own the planning and rollout of advanced ERP platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Financial Modules), ensuring seamless data integration across factory operations.
- Operational Accounting Baseline: Build and scale robust accounting mechanisms to handle payroll, international supplier accounts, multi-currency reporting, and statutory documentation.

2. Industrial Capital Deployment (CAPEX) & Cost-per-kWh Tracking

- Grand-Scale Budgetary Control: Enforce budgeting models and cash flow tracking aligned with greenfield project milestones.
- Turnkey Procurement Control:



Direct financial management of major CAPEX investments across manufacturing equipment, cleanroom infrastructure, and utilities.
- Unit Economics Integration: Partner with the COO to integrate financial analysis with manufacturing KPIs including Yield, OEE, Scrap Reduction, and Cost per kWh.

3. Supply Chain Finance & Large-Scale Procurement Accounting

- Establish transaction verification systems, procurement controls, and compliance frameworks for long-term supplier contracts.
- Structure financing mechanisms for international procurement of battery raw materials.
- Implement commodity price monitoring and risk mitigation strategies linked to international mineral indices.

4. Institutional Banking, Corporate Finance & Treasury Management

- Maintain relationships with commercial banks, financial institutions, and lending partners.
- Support negotiations for project financing, working capital facilities, equipment financing, and other funding requirements.
- Manage treasury operations and oversee domestic and international cash flow.

5. Taxation, Statutory Reporting & Compliance

- Develop and execute tax planning strategies utilizing Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes, GST perks, and customs duty exemptions where applicable.
- Ensure timely statutory compliance, financial reporting, and coordination of internal and external audits in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

6. Financial Governance & Business Growth Support





- Establish robust financial reporting systems, governance frameworks, and internal controls.
- Support due diligence, financial audits, fundraising initiatives, and future corporate expansion activities, including IPO readiness where applicable.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Proven Large-Scale Manufacturing Leadership: Minimum of 8–12 years of progressive finance leadership experience (Head – Finance, GM – Finance, Finance Controller, VP Finance, or Senior Corporate Controller) within a high-volume automated manufacturing environment such as Energy Systems, Chemical Processing, Automotive, Electronics, or Process Manufacturing.
- Mandatory $100M+ Revenue Exposure: Demonstrated experience serving as a senior finance leader within an organization or business unit generating at least USD 100 Million in annual revenue.
- Greenfield / Startup Infrastructure Creation: Proven experience establishing finance infrastructure, systems, inventory accounting, and financial processes from the ground up.
- Capital Raising & Financial Governance: Experience supporting institutional funding, debt financing, and financial due diligence. Exposure to IPO preparation will be an added advantage.
- Advanced ERP & Financial Systems Knowledge: Strong expertise in SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP platforms, financial modelling, and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Excellent Leadership & Communication Skills: Proven ability to build finance teams, collaborate across functions, and manage relationships with auditors, bankers, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.

Education & Professional Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting – Required.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CMA, or MBA (Finance) – Highly Preferred.
