Job Description: Sales Engineer South (Instruments/Gauges)

Location: Chennai (with frequent travel to South region)

Role Summary

We are seeking a results-driven and technically solid Sales Engineer to drive OEM and End User business for Instruments/Gauges in the Southern region. The role focuses on business development, customer engagement, and techno-commercial execution to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

- Drive OEM and End User sales to achieve regional revenue targets
- Identify and develop new customers and applications
- Build a strong project pipeline and convert opportunities into orders Expand market share through focused territory coverage

2. Techno-Commercial Execution

- Prepare and submit accurate technical and commercial proposals
- Support product selection, application engineering, and value selling Lead technical discussions, trials, and product approvals with customers Coordinate with internal teams and branches for order closure

3. Customer Engagement





- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers Position product advantages and differentiate from competition
- Resolve customer queries and provide application-based solutions

4. Planning & Performance

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Maintain sales forecasts and track pipeline conversion
- Monitor competition and identify growth opportunities

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of process instrumentation / gauges
- Techno-commercial acumen with solution-selling approach Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle customer discussions independently
- Analytical mindset with focus on results and growth

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation / Mechanical preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in sales of process instruments/gauges.
- Proven track record in OEM and/or End User sales.
