Role & responsibilities

- Managing regulatory affairs of the business corresponding with various central, state and local government departments, quasi-judicial offices, to get licenses, manage inspections, seizures, raids, adjudications and all other proceedings under Food Safety and Standards Act, Essential Commodities Act, Shops and Establishments Act, Municipal Corporation laws, Legal Metrology Act, labour laws and other laws affecting retail trade operations.
- Handling legal compliances of the company and other group entities
- Taking Care of Compliance & Liaison for Pan India from head office Star Bazaar Mumbai.
- Handle all compliance related work for our Hypermarket, Supermarket & e-commerce (online) businesses for all pan India stores.
- Successful close Legal Metrology Compounding cases, FSSAI & Labour related cases for Mumbai, Gujrat Bangalore & Hyderabad. Handle three verticals Compliances: Trent Hypermarket Private Limited, Fiora Hypermarket Private Limited
- Preparing checklist for Compliance team across all location.
- Handle field compliance escalation issues promptly and addressed with Field Reps to determine appropriate corrective action.
- Migration & implementation of legal support software for compliance mapping for THPLFHL, FOL. Handling all issues related to Municipal corporation location wise and timely reply to all issues for closure of the same.
- Handle Budget for Compliance for all location




- Handle all permissions related to our Distribution & Collection Centers. Strong knowledge of IR Issues, staff matters, negotiation with Party leaders and member.
- Taking care of permissions related to in house brands Fabsta, Klia & Skye.
- Prepare MIS reports as per the Service Level Agreement with a view to appraise management of the process operations and assist in critical decision-making process.
- Monitor the over-all functioning of processes, identifying improvements area and implementing adequate measures to maximize Compliance satisfaction level.
- Making sure that compliance procedures, systems and controls are up-to date and effective. Investigating and responding to case of non-compliance. Establish and maintain a culture for open communication, accountability and timely decision making.
- Establish best-in-class process to ensure adherence to quality systems and comply with quality standards of the organization.
- Keeping record of bills, tracking of bills payment status with vendor and with expenses claim unit too

Preferred candidate profile

- Must be a law graduate with 8 + years of experience
- Should have experience in both Legal and compliance.
- Must have positive communication skills
