We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Extend professional with expertise in REST and SOAP web services to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications within the Workday ecosystem. This role is critical in enabling seamless integration across business systems, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, while adhering to industry best practices in development, testing, and documentation. The position plays a key role in driving digital transformation and operational efficiency across the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and deploy customized Workday Extend applications to support evolving business needs

- Create, maintain, and consume REST and SOAP web services for secure and efficient system integrations

- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and developers to gather, analyze, and implement functional requirements

- Perform unit testing, participate in peer code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality benchmarks





- Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues related to Workday Extend applications and integrations

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for development processes, configurations, and API specifications

- Stay current with current Workday Extend features, updates, and emerging web service technologies

Requirements

- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Workday Extend development and integration

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing REST and SOAP web services

- Strong understanding of Workday Adaptive Planning and its integration capabilities

- Experience with application lifecycle management, version control, and CI/CD practices

- Proficiency in XML, JSON, and data transformation techniques

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
