Job Description: Payroll & Accounts Executive

Department: Accounts / Human Resources
Reporting To: HR HEAD / Account Head
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Vesu, Surat

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Executive to manage the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 600 employees. The role includes maintaining payroll records, ensuring statutory HR compliance, processing employee-related payments and deductions, and recording payroll transactions in Tally or payroll software.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and process monthly payroll for approximately 600 employees accurately and on time.
- Collect and verify attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, salary revisions, new-joiner and exit information.
- Calculate salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, incentives, arrears, reimbursements and deductions.
- Process full and final settlements for resigned or terminated employees.
- Generate salary sheets, payslips, bank-transfer statements and payroll reports.
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of salary information.
- Record salary, reimbursement, statutory liability and payment entries in Tally.
- Reconcile payroll records with bank statements and accounting ledgers.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, TDS and other payroll-related regulations.
- Prepare statutory challans, returns, registers and supporting documents within prescribed deadlines.
- Coordinate with HR, Accounts, banks and external consultants regarding payroll and compliance matters.
- Assist employees with salary,



deduction, payslip, tax and statutory-benefit queries.
- Maintain documents required for internal, statutory and external audits.
- Prepare monthly payroll MIS and compliance reports for management.
- Monitor changes in payroll-related labour laws and statutory regulations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience independently processing payroll for a large workforce is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Tally and payroll/HRMS software.
- Positive knowledge of PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS and other applicable payroll compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounting entries and basic payroll taxation.
