Job Summary
The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies to minimize financial losses caused by theft, fraud, operational errors, and safety risks. This role works closely with store management, employees, and external agencies to ensure asset protection, compliance with company policies, and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Protection & Loss Prevention
- Develop and implement loss prevention programs and procedures.
- Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, misconduct, and policy violations.
- Monitor inventory shrinkage and identify root causes of losses.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Analyze loss trends and prepare action plans to reduce inventory shrinkage.
Security Management
- Oversee security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and surveillance equipment.
- Ensure all security measures are functioning effectively.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and external security vendors when necessary.
- Manage emergency response procedures and security incident reporting.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
- Review operational procedures and recommend improvements to minimize risk.
Training & Awareness
- Train employees on loss prevention policies, safety protocols, and fraud awareness.
- Promote a culture of accountability and asset protection.
- Conduct awareness programs on theft prevention and workplace safety.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and present loss prevention reports to senior management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shrinkage, theft, and fraud.
- Use data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in loss prevention, security management, retail operations, or risk management.
- Experience conducting investigations and handling confidential information.
- Knowledge of inventory control and security systems.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of CCTV and surveillance technologies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
