Job Summary
This role plays a critical role in managing end-to-end Non-US corporate tax compliance, supporting tax planning initiatives, and ensuring adherence to evolving international tax regulations. This position requires strong technical expertise in direct taxation, analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the organization's tax position while maintaining compliance.
In This Role, You Will
- Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission in line with statutory deadlines.
- Support the closure of statutory financial statements by providing relevant tax-related inputs and reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation and review of tax audit reports and engage with accounting and tax auditors as required.
- Prepare withholding tax (WHT) workpapers and file applicable WHT returns.
- Support the preparation of detailed documentation and analysis for group financial reporting purposes.
- Maintain and update monthly cash tax trackers and assist in forecasting future tax liabilities.
- Coordinate and oversee tax compliance activities for Non-US jurisdictions, working closely with local teams and external advisors.
- Ensure consistency in tax processes and reporting across regions.
- Transfer Pricing
- Support transfer pricing compliance in line with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external advisors on benchmarking studies and reporting obligations
- Tax Research Advisory
- Conduct in-depth research on domestic and international tax laws to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate their impact on the company s tax position and reporting requirements.
- Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities and strategies to optimize the overall effective tax rate.
- Audit & Controversy Management
- Support tax audits by preparing documentation, responding to queries, and liaising with tax authorities.
- Assist in managing ongoing tax controversies, including assessments, appeals, and litigation matters, and coordinate with external consultants where required.
- Treasury & Cross - Border Transactions
- Collaborate with treasury and accounts processing teams to ensure timely payment of taxes.
- Prepare monthly intercompany outward remittance documents and coordinate with treasury for cross-border transactions.
- Accounting & Intercompany Support
- Partner with the accounting team to address tax-related queries, including reconciliations of intercompany balances and tax payable accounts.
- Ensure alignment between tax records and financial statements.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate tax processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy using AI tools.
- Leverage technology and tools to enhance compliance, reporting, and forecasting activities.

- Subject matter expertise
- Strong understanding of corporate tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing regulations.
- Proven experience in tax compliance, provisions, and audits.
- Ability to interpret complex tax laws and apply them practically in a business context.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, and external advisors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- AI Enabled Data Collation & Analysis (Additional Skill Requirement)
- Leverage AI recognised tools and advanced data analytics solutions to support tax data collation, cleansing, reconciliation, and analysis across compliance, reporting, and advisory activities.
- Use AI assisted tools to analyse large datasets, identify trends, anomalies, and variances, and enhance the quality and efficiency of tax workpapers, forecasts, and management reports.
- Support the global tax function by applying AI enabled research and analytics tools in a responsible manner, ensuring outputs are reviewed with appropriate skilled judgment, controls, and data governance standards.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
