Job Summary

The Jewellery Merchandiser is responsible for planning, sourcing, coordinating, and managing jewellery collections to meet customer demand and business objectives. The role involves working closely with vendors, designers, production teams, inventory, and retail stores to ensure timely product availability, competitive pricing, and attractive product assortments.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage jewellery collections based on market trends and customer preferences.
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and artisans for product development and procurement.
- Ensure timely availability of jewellery collections for stores and online platforms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
- Analyze sales performance and recommend fast-moving and slow-moving product strategies.
- Work closely with the design team to develop new jewellery collections.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards with suppliers.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate product data, costing, SKU information, and merchandising reports.
- Coordinate with marketing and visual merchandising teams during product launches and promotions.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis.
- Support seasonal buying plans and category performance improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Fashion, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Jewellery Merchandising/Gemology is an added advantage.

Experience




- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Jewellery Merchandising.
- Experience in Gold, Diamond, Silver, or Precious Jewellery preferred.

- Strong knowledge of jewellery products and retail merchandising.
- Understanding of gemstones, diamonds, gold purity, and jewellery manufacturing processes.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Inventory planning and stock management expertise.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
