Role & responsibilities
1. Government Liaisoning & Regulatory Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Government Departments, Local Authorities,
Regulatory Bodies, and Public Sector Organizations.
Coordinate for obtaining various licenses, permissions, approvals, NOCs, and statutory clearances
required for business operations.
Liaise with departments such as PWD, Water Resources, Industries, Pollution Control Board, PHE,
Revenue Department, Municipal Authorities, and other government agencies.
Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on compliance requirements.
Represent the organization during government meetings, inspections, and official interactions.
2. Business Development & Stakeholder Management
Identify and develop opportunities with government projects, infrastructure initiatives, and public-sector
undertakings.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, contractors, and industry
stakeholders.
Support tender participation and contract execution through effective coordination with government
authorities.
3. Operations & Project Coordination
Ensure smooth coordination between project sites, corporate office, and government agencies.
Facilitate timely approvals and resolve operational bottlenecks affecting project execution.
Monitor project progress and support teams in achieving operational milestones.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, environmental, and labor regulations.
Maintain proper documentation and records related to approvals, licenses, and government
correspondence.
Identify potential regulatory risks and implement mitigation measures.
5. Team Management
Lead and mentor regional teams to achieve business objectives.
Coordinate with HR,
Administration, Finance, Projects, and Procurement departments.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across multiple project locations.
6. Tender & Bid Management
Lead drafting of Expressions of Interest (EOI), Request for Proposals (RFP), and technical bids as per
government norms (e-tendering portals, GeM, state-specific SGL e-procurement).
Ensure compliance with eligibility criteria, technical specs, and commercial terms.
Partner with legal/consultants on pre-bid queries, corrigendum responses, and risk mitigation.
7.Stakeholder Presentation & Closure
Present to State Project Directors, Secretaries, and committees on solution value, past success in
similar environments, and long-term opex models.
Negotiate contract terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and payment release milestones.
Closure: Secure work orders, LoAs, and ensure contract signing with all necessary attestations.
Win through superior techno-commercial positioning, not just lowest price.
Preferred candidate profile
1. Strong understanding of government procedures, statutory approvals, and regulatory frameworks
relevant to construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, cement, or pipe industries.
2. Additional certifications in Project Management or Government Relations will be an advantage.
3. Strong Government Liaisoning and Networking Skills.
