We are currently looking for DM / Manager / Sr. Manager - Solar Design with US based MNC.

Our client accelerates United States solar, battery storage and EV projects by providing turnkey development as a service including 100% internal systems engineering. The company deploys a leading team that spun out of the largest solar power producer in the world.

Our client has fully commoditized renewable energy project development-as-a-service (DaaS), including 100% internal systems engineering and Construction-as-a-Service (CaaS). Our client support developers, builders, land-owners and financers through any portion of project execution, including turnkey delivery of built assets.

Location: Ahmedabad

Experience: 9+ years

Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech - Electrical / Energy or related

Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

As a Solar Design Engineer, the role involves collaborating with project teams to design and optimize solar energy systems using specialized software and simulation tools. Responsibilities include preparing detailed engineering drawings, conducting feasibility studies and site assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, evaluate components, review performance data, and stay updated with industry trends.

Core Responsibilities:

- Design and Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to design and optimize solar energy systems while participating in design reviews and cross-functional meetings.
- Software and Performance Modelling: Utilize design software to model system
- performance and adapt designs based on project needs and technological advancements.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Site and Feasibility Assessments: Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to support project development and progress.
- Component Selection and System Evaluation:



Evaluate and select solar components, analysing performance data to recommend improvements.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends and technologies, adapting to recent tools and techniques in solar design.
- Regulatory Compliance and Permits: Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure
- permits and ensure projects meet safety and environmental regulations.
- Client and Supplier Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners while assisting in proposal and report preparation.
- Cost Evaluation and Resource Management: Assist in evaluating project costs and
- resources, providing design insights aligned with project goals.
- Technical Support and Problem Solving: Offer technical support, address challenges, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Technical Skills and Experience:

Software Proficiency:

- AutoCAD
- PVSyst
- Helioscope
- ETAP
- MS Office
- Solargraf

Project Management:

- Experience in managing design projects from conception to implementation
- Ability to coordinate with other engineers and stakeholders

Renewable Energy Systems:

- Understanding of solar energy systems and their integration into existing infrastructure

Experience:

- 9+ years of relevant experience in the Solar Sector. (Consultancy experience is highly preferred).

Psychosocial Skills /Human Skills/Behavioral Skills:

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Project Management experience a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion.
- Technical understanding of clean energy business processes
- Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
