Job Description: Database Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Database services, MongoDB/NoSQL technologies, and familiarity with Redis and RabbitMQ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, security, and availability of both on-premise and cloud-based databases.

Required Skills & Expertise

- Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration (On-prem & Cloud)
- Azure Database Administration (Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance, backups, DR)
- MongoDB Administration (standalone, replica sets, sharded clusters)
- NoSQL Databases (best practices, optimization, security)
- Redis (installation, configuration, caching strategies)




- RabbitMQ (messaging queue configuration and administration)
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, failover, and high availability
- Scripting/automation skills using PowerShell / CLI / Runbooks / DevOps pipelines

Roles & Responsibilities

- Administer SQL Server environments, including backups, DR, HA, performance tuning, and security.
- Manage Azure SQL Databases/Managed Instances with backup, replication, scaling, and cost optimization.
- Maintain MongoDB clusters, backups, upgrades, performance tuning, and security.
- Manage Redis caching and RabbitMQ messaging infrastructure.
- Automate database operations and support application teams with best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience as a DBA (SQL, Azure, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with automation and CI/CD integration for DB operations
- Knowledge of cloud security standards and governance
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
