Role Description The Design Engineer (Plumbing) will be responsible for planning, designing, and detailing plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects in Pune City. Day-to-day tasks include developing layouts and schematics, performing load and flow calculations, selecting appropriate materials and equipment, and preparing CAD drawings and technical documentation. The role involves coordinating with architects, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, reviewing designs for code compliance and safety standards, and supporting site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning. The engineer will also participate in design reviews, address technical queries,



and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and templates. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City.
Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Design Engineering with specific experience in plumbing system design and layout.
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with knowledge of fluid mechanics and building services.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) for creating detailed plumbing drawings and schematics.
- Ability to collaborate with Electrical Engineering and other building services disciplines to integrate plumbing designs into overall project plans.
- Experience in Product Design or component selection for piping, valves, pumps, fixtures, and related plumbing equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations for plumbing in India.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional project teams in office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field); prior experience in plumbing design for building projects is preferred.
