ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a global contract manufacturing company in the FMCG and pharma space. We are
building a Digital Command Centre across our plants to give leadership a complete daily view of
operations, finance, quality, supply chain, and workforce.
In this role, you will pull data from ERP exports, plant Excel files, machine APIs, and HR systems,
build reliable pipelines, and surface it all as an automated daily report. You will also integrate with
specialist IoT vendors to bring in machine-level operational data.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
MIS and Reporting
Design and build an automated daily plant MIS report covering machine operations,
financial performance, working capital, supply chain, quality, and workforce.
Integrate data from ERP exports, plant Excel files, machine APIs, HR systems, and
quality databases into a single clean data layer.
¢ Build and maintain Power BI (or equivalent) dashboards tracking OEE, energy intensity,
plant P&L;, cost per unit, budget vs actuals, inventory, supplier performance, batch rejection
rates, attendance, and headcount.
¢ Own data quality: detect missing submissions, flag anomalies, and ensure corrections
reach you before the morning report.
¢ Standardise metric definitions across plants: downtime, cost of production, rejection rate,
and others.
¢ Automate data collection tasks: scheduled ERP exports, Excel intake pipelines, and
email-based ingestion.
Machine and Operational Data
¢ Work with IoT vendors to integrate machine data (energy, runtime, downtime, production
counts) into the central platform.
¢ Configure and maintain API connections or MQTT/OPC-UA feeds from IoT devices and
energy meters.




¢ Ensure operational data flows into the MIS reliably without manual intervention from plant
teams.
Infrastructure and Maintenance
¢ Build and maintain a central data store (cloud or on-premise) that consolidates all plant
data.
¢ Write Python scripts for ETL pipelines, data validation, and report automation.
¢ Document all data sources, transformation logic, and report definitions clearly.
¢ Monitor pipeline health and resolve failures before they affect the morning report.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

¢ B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Industrial Engineering, or a quantitative
B.Sc./BCA.
¢ Robust Python: you will write ETL scripts and build data pipelines daily. This is mandatory.
¢ Solid SQL: comfortable extracting, joining, and transforming data from relational databases.
¢ Hands-on experience with at least one BI tool: Power BI (preferred), Tableau, Metabase,
or Grafana.
¢ Comfortable handling messy, real-world data from inconsistent Excel files and multiple
systems.
¢ Organised and deadline-driven: the report goes out every morning without fail.
¢ Able to work independently in a small team with no large IT support function.
NICE TO HAVE
¢ Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle via exports, APIs, or direct queries.
¢ Familiarity with IIoT protocols: MQTT, OPC-UA, or Modbus.
¢ Cloud platform experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
¢ Prior internship in manufacturing, supply chain, or finance operations.
¢ Knowledge of scheduling or orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Power Automate.
