VeriFast Technologies is looking for a passionate SDE Engineer (IoT Automation Specialist) to join our growing engineering team in Ahmedabad. If you have experience in feature automation, IoT devices, embedded firmware, and CI/CD pipelines, this is an excellent chance to work on next-generation connected products.

You'll play a key role in developing scalable automation frameworks, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous testing across embedded systems, hardware, firmware, and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for IoT devices using Embedded C/C++.
- Develop scalable embedded software for MCU/MPU-based products.
- Perform Board Support Package (BSP) customization, integration, and maintenance.
- Work on Yocto Project and Buildroot for Embedded Linux image customization and BSP development.
- Develop and maintain custom device drivers and middleware.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom IoT communication protocols for secure and reliable device communication.
- Integrate and manage messaging systems using MQTT and RabbitMQ.
- Optimize firmware performance, memory utilization, boot time, and power consumption.
- Analyze and resolve device stability, device heating, thermal management, power optimization, and field issues.
- Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, firmware debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Develop automation scripts using Python for firmware validation and production testing.
- Collaborate with Hardware, Cloud, Mobile, QA,



and Product teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design reviews.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and design specifications.

Required Skills

- 2–6 years of experience in Embedded Systems and IoT Product Development.
- Strong programming skills in:
- Embedded C

- Python
- Strong experience in BSP (Board Support Package) development and customization.
- Hands-on experience with Yocto Project, Buildroot, and Embedded Linux.
- Experience with Embedded Linux Device Drivers.
- Good understanding of RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, etc.).
- Experience with Git and Bitbucket repositories.
- Knowledge of CI/CD workflows using Jenkins/GitLab CI.
- Hands-on experience with communication interfaces:

- Experience with IoT communication protocols:
