Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Consultant with 3+ years of relevant experience to join our growing SAP practice in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP Master Data Management processes, data governance, data quality, and master data lifecycle management. The candidate must have excellent English communication skills, enabling effective interaction with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams.

Candidates currently residing in Kolkata will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain SAP Master Data across various business domains, including Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, and Business Partner.
- Create, update, validate, and govern master data while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and data governance policies.
- Collaborate with business users and functional consultants to gather master data requirements and implement effective data management solutions.
- Perform data cleansing, data validation, deduplication, and standardization activities to improve overall data quality.
- Support SAP implementation, rollout, migration, and enhancement projects by preparing and validating master data.
- Execute mass data uploads using SAP standard tools such as LSMW, Migration Cockpit, or other approved migration utilities.
- Monitor master data quality and resolve data inconsistencies through root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain master data documentation, process guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with SAP Functional teams (MM, SD, PP, WM, FICO, EWM, etc.) to ensure accurate master data integration across business processes.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and post-go-live support activities.




- Ensure adherence to data governance standards, compliance requirements, and audit guidelines.
- Provide end-user support and training related to SAP master data processes.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Management.
- Strong understanding of SAP Master Data concepts and governance.
- Experience managing Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, and Business Partner data.
- Good knowledge of SAP MM, SD, or other functional modules interacting with master data.
- Experience in SAP data migration, data validation, and data cleansing activities.
- Hands-on experience with LSMW, Migration Cockpit, or other SAP data migration tools.
- Understanding of data governance principles and master data quality management.
- Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into master data solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- SAP certification in relevant functional modules or Master Data Management is an advantage.
- Experience working on SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects will be preferred.
- Exposure to SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) will be an added advantage.
