OneStream Developer Analyst

Must have : Resource should have experience on version 9 as well and have a good exposure on dashboarding and extensibility rules.

Experience on integration projects will be additional advantage.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Applications, the Developer, Financial Applications OneStream plays a central role in the design, development, and enhancement of the OneStream application. This role focuses on the technical build and extensibility of the platform, ensuring that business rules, integrations, cube views, workflows, and dashboards remain robust, scalable, and aligned with financial planning, consolidation, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain OneStream application components including Entities, Cubes, Dimensions, Data Sources, and metadata hierarchies.
- Develop and enhance Business Rules in VB.NET to support financial calculations, currency translation, consolidation logic, validations, and confirmation rules.
- Build and configure Data Management sequences, transformation rules, and connector-based integrations between source systems (e.g., SAP, HFM, ERP platforms) and OneStream.
- Design and develop Cube Views and Dashboards to support financial reporting, management insights, and operational analytics.
- Configure and maintain workflow profiles, workflow steps, ACM mappings, Workflow Event Handlers, and scheduled Data Management jobs to automate financial close and reporting processes.
- Implement SQL-based dashboards and validation routines to compare source and target financial data within the application.
- Develop and deploy OneStream Marketplace solutions (such as Cube Data Manager, Table Data Manager, and Application Reports) based on business requirements.
- Support OneStream version upgrades and platform migrations (e.g., V7 to V8,



HFM to OneStream XF), including refactoring of business rules and components.
- Configure application security, including user roles, workflow security, and access controls, to ensure controlled and secure access to financial data.
- Translate business requirements from finance and technical stakeholders into scalable, well-documented OneStream solutions.
- Follow a rigorous governance process for system changes, including requirements documentation, peer review, UAT sign-off, change logs, and audit-ready documentation for SOX compliance.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities through timely data loads, validations, and reporting readiness.
- Manage multiple development workstreams concurrently in a fast-paced enterprise finance transformation workplace.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing or developing on OneStream XF or comparable EPM/CPM platforms (Oracle HFM, FCCS, Hyperion).
- Strong proficiency in VB.NET for OneStream Business Rules development.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, dashboards, and reporting; familiarity with XML is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with Data Management, transformation rules, and source-to-OneStream integrations (e.g., SAP, HFM).
- Experience configuring Cube Views, Dashboards, Workflows, and metadata hierarchies (Entities, Accounts, custom dimensions).
- Exposure to OneStream Marketplace solutions and version migrations is an asset.
- Familiarity with financial close, consolidation, planning, and management reporting processes.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or SSRS is an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with finance and technical stakeholders.
