Officer - Purchase

Purpose of the Role:

Handles buying and replenishment of grocery staples for the Distribution Centre/Grocery Repacking Unit. Ensures adequate inventory, tracks deliveries, and executes procurement activities as per central category team guidelines and SOPs defined.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process and release POs for bulk grocery items based on DC/PC stock and replenishment triggers.
- Monitor daily inventory, reorder points, and incoming deliveries.
- Coordinate with transporters and vendors for on-time inward movement of goods.
- Track local market prices and share trends with the category team.
- Ensure vendor adherence to agreed terms, rates, and quality standards.
- Support onboarding of current or alternate vendors as guided centrally.
- Maintain PO, GRN, and inventory records for audit readiness.
- Follow procurement SOPs, approvals, and delegation of authority.
- Liaise with finance for invoice verification and vendor payment follow-up.
