Computer Operator Job Title Computer Operator Data Center Operator Job Summary We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Computer Operator to manage the day-to-day operations of our computer systems servers and data center infrastructure The primary responsibility is to ensure the continuous and efficient running of all scheduled jobs monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance tasks The ideal candidate will be adept at following standard operating procedures and responding quickly to technical alerts Key Responsibilities System Monitoring Continuously monitor computer systems networks and servers for performance issues errors and security breaches Job Scheduling Execute and monitor batch processing jobs scheduled tasks and system backups according to established operational schedules Incident Response Respond promptly to system alerts error messages and hardware software malfunctions troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate IT personnel e g system administrators or developers Data Management Perform routine data backup and recovery procedures ensuring data integrity and accessibility Manage and organize physical media tapes external drives if required Documentation Logging Maintain accurate records of all operational activities system status incidents and maintenance performed in the shift log Peripheral Management Load and operate peripheral equipment such as high-speed printers and tape drives Compliance Procedures Adhere strictly to all security policies operational procedures and data center access protocols Qualifications Proven experience as a Computer Operator Data Entry Clerk or similar role in an IT setting Basic understanding of computer hardware operating systems e g Windows Server Linux and network fundamentals Familiarity with scheduling software and ticketing systems is a plus Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work reliably in shifts including nights weekends or holidays and to remain focused during extended monitoring periods Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow complex technical instructions precisely Education High school diploma or equivalent is required An Associate s Degree or technical certification in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field is preferred LIECL is an equal opportunity employer We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees Job Type Full-time Pay 10 000 00 - 12 000 00 per month Application Question s knowledge about MS office Language English Preferred
