Description Rystad Energy is a leading energy research and consulting firm headquartered in Oslo Norway with offices across the world The company was founded in 2004 to provide strategic consulting services and has evolved into one of the leading research organizations with a series of databases and reports covering the global energy industry and other parts of the energy space Our team of industry experts serve our client base including the largest oil gas and energy companies financial and oilfield service companies Headquartered in Oslo Norway Rystad Energy is a rapidly growing company represented in more than 30 countries We are looking to hire for 3 set of positions Data Analyst Data Scientist Data Engineering which is referred to as Data Analyst in subsequent communication and has some generic responsibilities defined as below Research Analyst And a combination of Data Analyst Research analyst Based on this following options are provided for the job application please select it based on your interest Data Analyst Data Analyst Research Research Analyst The Role Data Analyst Rystad Energy is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Data Analyst with strong abilities in data science algorithm development and implementation to join our Analyst Team The Data Analyst will play a critical role in improving and expanding our data coverage working with a high volume of factual data sophisticated in-house data management systems and forecasting tools Key Responsibilities Collect clean and process large datasets to extract meaningful insights and update our existing databases in line with internal standards Build and maintain systems for capturing structuring and storing data with a focus on SQL databases Develop Python scripts to gather publicly available information for data collection Create data models for forecasting using system dynamics multiple regression and other statistical methods Collaborate with Product Managers and Analysts to translate client needs into technical requirements Participate in research product development and client-facing activities within the product teams The Role Research Analyst Rystad Energy is also looking for a dedicated Research Analyst with a passion for research and data analysis to join our Analyst Team The Research Analyst will contribute to the development of our products by leveraging their expertise in data science and research methodologies to analyze market trends and support our client-facing activities Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends within the energy and commodity markets Update and maintain our databases with the latest industry information ensuring data accuracy and relevance Collaborate with the data team to support the development of data models and forecasting tools Assist in translating complex research findings into actionable insights for clients Participate in product development initiatives and contribute to the growth of our research capabilities Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide research-based solutions Requirements We are looking for motivated candidates with a strong academic track record analytical mindset as well as software development skills to strengthen our capacity within in-house modeling University degree Master or Bachelor within Engineering Information Technology Mathematics Physics or similar If applying for a Data analyst or related job Demonstrated knowledge of Python SQL and or C is important Demonstrated knowledge of database design and SQL programming PowerBI is an advantage Knowledge of machine learning techniques is an advantage Proactive independent open-minded and creative Thrives in a fast-paced environment and strong multi-tasker Good English skills both verbal and written A positive person with solid motivation to personally develop and contribute to the company s development and growth Benefits A global company well recognized within the energy space for its high levels of competence and independence A diverse dynamic and international highly skilled working environment Competitive compensation and benefits Being part of a quickly expanding global business with new development opportunities
