we succeed together Trusting - we choose to trust each other Customer committed - we put customers at the heart of our decisions Future Focused - we accelerate change Curious - we turn knowledge into action Wood Mackenzie is an industry-leading data analytics company that provides analysis and insight on the world s natural resources with a presence all around the globe We re working on a next generation data analysis visualisation platform that enables our customers to drive billion-dollar decisions and accelerate the world s transition to a more sustainable tomorrow Who we re looking for We re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Snowflake Platform team within our Data Platform group You ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the systems and infrastructure that integrate Snowflake into our broader data ecosystem ensuring our platform is maintainable and continues to technically evolve to meet our customers needs As well as working on our internal Snowflake platform you ll collaborate with the third parties we partner with to ensure the technical success of those projects and ensure they are aligned to our requirements Ideally you ll Be able to work across multiple teams to solve complex technical problems particularly around Snowflake integration and platform adoption Have strong experience with Snowflake including its architecture capabilities and how it integrates within a wider data platform ecosystem Have solid experience building web-based applications supporting micro-services and deploying them in a cloud environment with focus on data platform infrastructure Support other teams migration to Snowflake providing technical guidance and platform solutions rather than direct data engineering Have technical experience of complex platform projects and be able to contribute as a technical expert on Snowflake implementations Have strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to contribute to engineering initiatives across teams adopting the Snowflake platform Be able to work with our technical leadership teams to contribute to the technical evolution of our Snowflake platform and its integration with our broader applications Have solid understanding of modern software engineering from test automation to architectural principles applied to data platform development Understand what it takes to develop resilient scalable and secure data platform solutions Recognise that people build software and working with others is key to success especially when enabling other teams to adopt recent platform capabilities Our tech stack -
