is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to join the Hardware Development Engineering team In this role you will be an essential part of a rapidly expanding hardware program that delivers excellence to both internal and external customers You ll work closely with platform architects and hardware engineers to validate new server designs create robust testing frameworks and ensure quality across our hardware ecosystem This position offers an unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge server technologies while building the tools and processes that ensure their reliability security and performance What You ll Do Validate new hardware components including server platforms next-gen storage media and new technologies PCIe Gen6 DC-MHS GPUs etc Create and execute validation plans for new server designs including power thermal analysis and performance characterization Develop automation frameworks for hardware testing firmware validation and component qualification Collaborate with ODM OEM partners on server designs and integration Write technical specifications and documentation for new platforms Manage hardware testing infrastructure and improve its operations Work with software teams to optimize platform configurations BIOS kernel firmware What You ll Need 9 years of experience in server hardware development at a SaaS public cloud CSP or similar company Demonstrated experience with hardware validation methodologies benchmarks and automation frameworks Strong understanding of modern server microarchitectures and components Experience with server BMC implementation and management interfaces Redfish IPMI Proficiency in Linux server environments PXE kernel optimization and scripting languages Python Bash Knowledge of industry standards PCIe NVMe DDR Strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as written and verbal communication abilities Bonus Points Experience with composable infrastructure and disaggregated server architectures Knowledge of AI ML hardware accelerators and infrastructure Familiarity with open hardware platforms OCP OpenBMC Experience with power cooling optimization at rack and datacenter scale Familiarity with
