Position Title L2 Engineer - Infrastructure Security Experience Required 2 years Employment Type Full time Role Overview We are looking for an L2 Infrastructure Security Engineer with hands-on experience in managing Linux environments Fortinet Firewalls Load Balancers and Nutanix Platform The candidate will be responsible for implementation configuration and day-to-day management of these technologies ensuring high availability security and performance of the enterprise infrastructure Key Responsibilities 1 Linux AdministrationDeploy configure and manage Linux servers RHEL CentOS Ubuntu Monitor system performance patch management and troubleshooting OS-level issues Manage user access file systems and shell scripting for automation 2 Fortinet Firewall ManagementImplement and manage FortiGate firewalls including policy creation VPN setup and security hardening Monitor firewall logs analyze traffic and troubleshoot connectivity security issues Assist in upgrades HA configuration and compliance audits 3 Load Balancer AdministrationConfigure and manage Load Balancers F5 Citrix HAProxy equivalent Implement L2 L3 load balancing rules SSL offloading health checks and traffic management policies Troubleshoot application connectivity and performance issues 4 Nutanix Platform OperationsImplement and manage Nutanix AHV Prism-based virtualization environments Perform VM lifecycle management storage configuration and cluster monitoring Troubleshoot hyper-converged infrastructure HCI issues and coordinate with OEM support 5 Operational SupportProvide L2-level support for incidents service requests and problem management Escalate complex issues to L3 OEM while ensuring timely resolution Participate in implementation projects migrations and upgrades 6 Documentation ReportingMaintain SOPs configuration documents and asset inventory Generate periodic reports on system health performance and security posture Required Skills QualificationsEducation Bachelor s degree in Computer Science IT or related field or equivalent experience Experience 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Linux Fortinet Load Balancers and Nutanix Technical Skills Linux administration RHEL CentOS Ubuntu FortiGate Firewall policies VPNs security features Load Balancer configuration F5 HAProxy Citrix equivalent Nutanix HCI operations and VM management Knowledge of TCP IP routing switching DNS DHCP and network troubleshooting Experience with monitoring tools Nagios Zabbix SolarWinds or equivalent Basic scripting Shell Python preferred Soft Skills Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Good communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Willingness to work in 24x7 support if required Certifications Preferred not mandatory Linux RHCSA RHCE Fortinet NSE 4 or higher Nutanix NCP Nutanix Certified Professional Load Balancer F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator or equivalent
