Designer - Merchandising Quality Location Hosur Tamil Nadu Department Merchandising Design Reports to Program Manager About GiftAbled GiftAbled is a social enterprise committed to creating an inclusive ecosystem where Persons with Disabilities PwD and disadvantaged communities are empowered through livelihood opportunities Our products stand for sustainability creativity and impact making every purchase a part of GiftsThatGiveBack Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic Designer who can contribute beyond design by actively supporting merchandising functions and quality assurance This role is ideal for someone with creativity attention to detail and an entrepreneurial mindset who can manage end-to-end product development from concept to delivery while ensuring quality standards Key Responsibilities Design Product Development Research and analyze design trends colors and materials to create creative eco-friendly products aligned with market needs Develop design concepts for corporate gifting lifestyle products and handicrafts with a focus on sustainability Prepare sketches samples and prototypes working closely with artisans and production teams Incorporate accessibility and inclusivity into design thinking Merchandising Coordination Coordinate with vendors artisans and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products Prepare and manage Sales Orders SO Purchase Orders PO and costing sheets Support catalog creation product descriptions and storytelling aligned with GiftAbled s mission Collaborate with the sales team to meet client requirements and ensure customer satisfaction Quality Assurance Define and implement quality standards for raw materials and finished goods Conduct quality checks at multiple stages of production to minimize rejections and ensure client specifications are met Maintain proper documentation for QC reports and highlight areas for improvement Train artisans and production staff on quality parameters Required Skills Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Design Fashion Textile or Merchandising or equivalent experience 1-3 years of experience in product design merchandising or quality control preferably in social enterprise handicraft or gifting sector Strong knowledge of materials eco-friendly practices and sustainable design Proficiency in design software Adobe Illustrator Photoshop Canva etc Excellent communication coordination and documentation skills Eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines What We Offer Opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organization creating social impact A collaborative work environment with artisans PwDs and grassroots communities Exposure to corporate merchandising sustainable design and impact-driven product development Competitive salary with scope for growth Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Work Location In person
