T he appointed candidate will assist senior team members in undertaking intersection analysis traffic simulations travel demand modelling and providing support services for the submission of traffic impact studies and transportation master plans T he candidate will support on the data analysis and data processing for the traffic analysis work and in site access studies T he successful candidate will work with experienced strategic and micro-simulation modellers across Canada who are at the cutting edge of modelling software application E xperience and knowledge of junction design and analysis traffic softwares including Synchro SIDRA HCS Vistro strategic modelling softwares Emme VISUM Aimsun TransCAD and micro-simulation modelling VISSIM as well a good understanding of fundamental modelling techniques and traffic management techniques to enable you work effectively as part of the team E xperience in highway design and application of CAD software for the design works would be an additional benefit R esponsibilities B e a core member of WSP s Modelling Transport Planning team with key focus on detail and quality D evelop reports and presentations Z eal to grow self and dedication towards working independently with minimal guidance where required A ttend and contribute in team and project meetings via Teams and Video-conferencing W ork within project constraints such as time budget and resource C omplete accurate timesheets by set deadline E nsure that Health Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies and Other duties as assigned M aster s degree in Transportation Planning or equivalent from an accredited university or Urban Planning degree with emphasis in transportation planning A solid understanding of traffic engineering and traffic signal operations Experience with transportation related software packages i e Synchro SIDRA HCS and VISSIM is required A solid understanding of Travel Demand Modelling and its applications Experience with transportation modelling related software packages i e EMME VISUM and TransCAD is required F amiliarity with graphic design SharePoint AutoCAD Microstation Bentley InRoads and GIS software would be an asset E xcellent communication presentation proposal and report writing skills are essential P ost-graduate with 1 to 2 years of international experience H ighly motivated and
