Job Title Biomass Collection Manager Location Based out of Nagpur with frequent travel required to collection sites Reports To Top Management Type Full-time Company Varhad Capital Pvt Ltd We are working towards a mission to improve soil health grow chemical-free food and support farmers We enable transition to regenerative agriculture by manufacturing biochar and woodvinegar Our sister organization manufactures biochar and woodvinegar based fertilizers We are a network of 550 000 farmers and manufacture biochar from agriculture biomass Now we are launching our industrial Pyrolyzer plant which produces biochar woodvinegar and electricity from agriculture biomass Website https varhad in Nagpur Office Plot No 12 A 2nd Floor Near New Life Hospital Smurti Nagar Bokhara Nagpur- 441111 Job Summary The Biomass Collection Manager is a critical field-based role responsible for establishing and managing the entire supply chain for various types of biomass with a primary focus on agricultural residue This role requires a go-getter who is prepared for frequent travel to collection sites and possesses excellent negotiation skills to secure supply from farmers and cooperatives Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Development Develop implement and manage a robust and efficient supply chain for the collection of diverse biomass materials including various types of agricultural residue Procurement Negotiation Negotiate and finalize procurement agreements with individual farmers farmer producer organizations FPOs and agricultural cooperatives to ensure a consistent and cost-effective supply of raw material Site Management Travel Must be ready to travel to sites as required to oversee collection quality control and logistics operations Frequent travel will be an essential component of the role Logistics Coordination Coordinate with logistics partners for the timely and efficient transportation of collected biomass to the processing facility Quality Assurance Implement quality control measures at collection points to ensure the biomass meets required specifications e g moisture content contamination levels Relationship Management Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships with local farming communities and key stakeholders Conversant with Various Government data The applicant should have good knowledge of government published data on crops eg E-Pik Pahani data for Maharashtra etc Qualifications Skills o Field Experience Demonstrated ability to manage field operations procurement and logistics preferably within the agricultural or commodity sector Negotiation Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of securing favorable agreements Language Proficiency Fluency in Marathi is a must for effective communication and negotiation with local farmers and cooperatives Travel Readiness Must be willing and able to undertake frequent travel to collection sites in and around the Nagpur region and beyond as required Personal Attributes A highly proactive go-getter with strong organizational skills capable of independent decision-making and managing a dispersed team or network Educational Qualifications Graduate Post graduate from reputed university preferably in agricultural sciences Compensation Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and the demanding nature of the role Travel and site allowances will be provided as per company policy We re looking for someone who s organized reliable and ready to take on recent challenges Apply by sending your CV to hr varhad in Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 15 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month Work Location In person
