Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud RTB WAF Engineer to join the Run the Bank (RTB) team supporting a large-scale Enterprise Cloud WAF Program. The role focuses on deploying, managing, and optimizing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions for internet-facing and internal web applications to meet regulatory and security compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support enterprise WAF platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Implement and maintain WAF policies for internet-facing and internal applications.
- Develop and optimize custom WAF rules, exception handling, and baseline security policies.
- Perform false-positive analysis and fine-tune WAF configurations.
- Work closely with business teams to onboard current applications and support existing WAF requests.
- Coordinate with Change Management teams to ensure smooth implementation of security changes.
- Collaborate with cloud platform teams, cybersecurity teams, and WAF vendors (Akamai, F5, Cloudflare).




- Support DevSecOps automation pipelines and identify opportunities for further process automation.
- Troubleshoot WAF-related incidents and coordinate with SOC/CSIRT teams during security events.
- Maintain documentation, platform configurations, logging, and operational standards.
- Identify risks proactively, provide regular status updates, and escalate issues when required.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with multiple WAF platforms across Edge, Cloud, and On-Premises environments.
- Experience with GCP Native Security and Cloud WAF services.
- Expertise in Akamai, F5 WAF, or Cloudflare.
- Strong understanding of Web Application Security attacks (OWASP) and mitigation techniques.
- Experience in WAF policy creation, tuning, configuration, and custom rule development.
- Knowledge of HTTPS inspection, SSL/TLS termination, and certificate management.
- Experience implementing rate limiting and advanced security controls.
- Knowledge of version control and WAF update mechanisms.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and automation pipeline maintenance.
- Understanding of Identity & Access Management (IDAM) concepts for WAF administration.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and security event analysis.
- Ability to work with SOC teams during security investigations.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals and service management.
