Key Responsibilities

- Provide second-level support for Linux systems, resolving escalated issues from L1 support.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, OS, applications, and network components.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and configuration changes with minimal downtime.
- Maintain and administer Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Manage users, groups, permissions, and access controls across multiple systems.
- Automate tasks and processes using shell scripts or other scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Assist in the deployment and support of applications and services on Linux infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards and hardening guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Network teams.




- Document all operational procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 35 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.
- Proficiency with Linux command-line tools and scripting (Bash, Python preferred).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Robust knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, etc.).
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Understanding of security best practices and system hardening procedures.
