We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future We get up every day roll up our sleeves and build a better world - together At Ford we re all a part of something bigger than ourselves Are you ready to change the way the world moves Support all engineering requirements for service products including non-warranty and some in-warranty applications across the respective commodities This will be accomplished by completing engineering requirements that deliver retail maintenance and light repair parts Maintain service parts after the new vehicle warranty coverage ends to resolve technical cost backorder and Vehicle Off Road concerns Qualifications What You ll Bring Bachelor s degree in mechanical electrical chemical engineering Proven experience in product development engineering or a related technical role within the automotive or a similar complex manufacturing industry Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion Proficiency in CAD CAE software e g Team Center Catia Vis Mockup and experience with 3D modeling and analysis Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies e g FMEA DVP PPAP 8D Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable plans Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively interface with internal teams suppliers and stakeholders A solid passion for customer satisfaction and understanding the lifetime value of a product Bonus Points If You Have Master s degree in engineering Experience with aftermarket service parts or fleet product development Knowledge of Ford s internal engineering systems and processes e g WERS FEDE PDO Provide Engineering input to Product Category Management projects to ensure all Engineering requirements are met Complete Supplier Request for Approvals SREA and Non-Policy Obsolescence NPO requests in a timely manner Provide engineering support for Service Parts Warranty SPW Core disposition Material Cost Savings Total Value Management TVM and Complexity Reduction initiatives Provide support to ensure all engineering requirements are included as part of the RFQ process Partner with the Quality office representative to assess and develop our suppliers and ensure that they meet our Quality and Engineering requirements and standards Develop manage and maintain the Engineering Specifications for assigned parts Manage the components and its release via WERS CMMS etc as necessary Manage the engineering requirements and other deliverables necessary to achieve PPAP complete for the programs in the PCM cycle plan Support joint Product Development and FCSD initiatives Provide information and technical assistance to Marketing Purchasing PD Engineering Dealers FADs field personnel and tech hotline Write review technical accuracy of publications Shop Manuals Owners Guides TSB s SSM s Marketing Brochures Instruction Sheets FAB s etc Major Interfaces Product Category Management Purchasing Dealers FAD s Central Labs Service Product Suppliers Product Development SE SE SEO and OGC
